Welcome!

This newly-formed and developing group exists as a support and discussion hub for graduate women. The group is self-led and focuses on supporting graduate women socially, academically, and personally. The group has been conceptualized as a forum to discuss, offer, and seek support on some of the following issues: research, especially research on gender issues, balancing academics and family, sexual harassment and violence, female isolation in male-dominated departments, communication and interaction styles, racial and cultural issues, and other issues important to members. More important than education, advocacy, or anything else the group can offer, is the support of other graduate women. I will be posting issues that affect graduate students here--I look forward to your comments!
